Hello When I want to play a CD, the display says "open" and it doesn't run. Can anyone help me? Is the CD player defective?

Was CD also selected as the source first? Maybe it can't read the CD, with self-burned CDs, be careful not all of them work, e.g. mp3 I remember, but I don't remember exactly, because the CD player has been defective for years (I don't need it any more).
