Question about Philips Hue Play HDMI Sync Box

Does this box also work when it is connected via HDMI ARC? I don't have an external signal generator for the TV but only use apps such as UPC, Netflix or similar. I output audio via HDMI and ARC to a 5.1.2 set. Can I connect the box in between or is that not possible?

Unfortunately, this does not work. The (video) sources must be connected directly to the Hue Sync Box. ARC is only for audio.
