Material: The MDF board material in our collections is made from pressed wood fibers that are glued together under pressure with resin. This gives the material a very smooth surface. The MDF boards in our collections are used in the backs of a selection of storage furniture. MDF serves as the base for walnut or oak veneer. Each veneered MDF board is treated in our own factory with a transparent protective layer.

Maintenance: The advantage of pressed board material is that it does not splinter or warp. However, the material is very sensitive to moisture and heat due to its high absorbency. As a result, the MDF board expands and cannot return to its original state.
