The operation is very simple and logical, the display leaves no questions unanswered, everything is clearly visible without having to press several keys (mostly on the back). Accidental incorrect operation (as with Braun, for example) is also impossible. The alarm tone starts quietly and gets progressively louder and more aggressive (crescendo), so there is no question of it being too quiet or too loud. Personally, I find the second alarm tone (for the second alarm time) less good (longer tones), but you can live with it. What's worse is that the alarm with the snooze function is only repeated six times; there's even no indication of this in the operating instructions. This means that you have to get up about 35 minutes after the first alarm tone, otherwise you will oversleep. I can understand that the alarm stops repeating at some point, but it should last much longer. Many people will find this strange, but I think it's important that the time is also displayed in seconds. Many manufacturers have secretly abolished the seconds in the last few years, and that really pissed me off. But the best thing about this alarm clock is the permanent backlighting (in the dark, controlled by a light sensor). I don't know how long the batteries will last, but the function is quite unique. Other models need a mains adapter for this, and then the lighting is also far too bright for the night. With this alarm clock, the brightness is perfect, the display is just visible, but it doesn't glow or dazzle.

An alarm clock that easily fulfils all the requirements, so far my favourite among the radio-controlled alarm clocks.

I had to cover the battery compartment with a thin cardboard so that the power supply would not accidentally break off when the alarm clock was tipped over. Now the batteries are firmly fixed in the compartment.

WARNING: This alarm clock is unreliable! I bought the alarm clock because of all the good reviews (well over 1000 on Amazon). What the positive commentators have probably all not experienced after a short time in use is how unreliable the device is: If the alarm clock tips over (which can happen quickly at night if you try to feel it in the dark), it can reset itself completely! It then beeps loudly for a short time and the time starts again at midnight and the alarm time at 07:00. Because we have no radio reception in the bedroom, this is extremely annoying. De facto for its core function (wake-up), not to use.

Actually a great device that offers everything you would expect from a modern alarm clock. Unfortunately, if you are the kind of person who doesn't get up immediately when the alarm rings, but continues to doze off and presses the snooze button again and again after 5 minutes when the alarm rings again, then it can still happen that you oversleep. This is because the snooze function stops after 35 minutes without further warning. For example, I set the alarm clock for 06:00 and press the Snooze button the first time it rings, after 5 minutes it rings again and I press the Snooze button again. This can then be repeated until 6:35. If I then continue snoozing at 6:35, the alarm clock will not ring again and I oversleep my appointment. I have now solved this by setting the second alarm time to 6:40 and thus have another 35 minutes to get up, which I usually do ;-)

The built-in LW receiver for the time signal does not seem to be very sensitive compared to its predecessor. From time to time I need to change position by one metre in order to synchronise.

It is good that the shut-off buttons are mechanical on the side
Unlike the new model, you can still unscrew the WEcker and reinforce the antenna after a defect or even provisionally with two-component glue. Otherwise, as soon as the children drop the WEcker on the floor twice, the antenna is broken.

I seem to be a good customer of digitec Galaxus. For a small order, I nevertheless pay a small quantity surcharge.

Unfortunately, the antenna on my old one broke after my son threw the plug around a dozen times.
Unlike the new model, however, you can unscrew it. on the two new ones, I have already fixed the antenna more firmly with two-component glue as a preventative measure.

After a lot of research, I decided on this model. I am more than satisfied with it.
You have to sleep very deeply to be disturbed by the somewhat quiet alarm sound.
