A design makes its mark: When Anna Castelli-Ferrieri designs this round container system for Kartell, the company of her husband Giulio Castelli, she has no idea that it will become a design classic, part of the permanent exhibitions at the Museum of Modern Art in New York and the Centre G. Pompidou in Paris. However, the container system made of injection-molded, impact-resistant ABS plastic is not only found in museums. It is often used as a nightstand next to the bed or as a stackable shelf in the bathroom and kitchen. Due to the rubber ring at the bottom, the round container furniture is only partially stackable. The sliding doors, elegantly designed to match the round shape, feature a carved grip hole as a handle: it’s hard to find a narrower dresser that is as space-saving and stylish.
