The Taccia small LED table lamp

Since 1961, the brand Flos has enriched Italian lighting design with new, innovative, and often revolutionary models. From the beginning, the team at Flos has pursued the philosophy of harmonizing provocation with functionality. Collaborating with numerous renowned designers and young talents, they have created objects that have often become true icons.

A table lamp for indirect lighting

The Taccia small LED table lamp allows for indirect illumination of a desk or any other table, creating light reflections. While the body of this desk lamp is made of aluminum, the diffuser is crafted from transparent blown glass. Another functional feature is that this LED lamp is dimmable with a switch. Designed in 1962, the table lamp stands 48.5 centimeters tall, with a body diameter of 14.2 centimeters and a diffuser diameter of 37.3 centimeters. This model is also available in various colors, allowing it to blend seamlessly into any decor.

Design as a family affair

The Taccia small LED table lamp was designed by Achille and Pier Giacomo Castiglioni. Both brothers opened a design office in Milan, with Achille joining the partnership in 1944. The brothers made their breakthrough in the design world in 1939 with the creation of the "Pholona" transistor radio, using the innovative material Bakelite. Livio left the partnership in 1952, allowing Achille and Pier Giacomo to continue working together as a duo until Achille's death in 1968.
