    Promotional vignette autoroute

Nice to get promotional ticket with a new HP printer but no details are provided on how to claim it and when you find out eventually the deadline may have passed.. A bit tricky to say the least.

    Help with printer selection

Hello everyone I am looking for a suitable replacement for my Epson WF 5710, which no longer prints red and print head cleaning has been unsuccessful so far (printer cleaning programme as well as manual cleaning). - Place of use: Printer for home use, fluctuating monthly print volume. Sometimes we don't print at all, then 50-100 pages. - Printing: A4, colour, duplex, also graphics. That's why a print resolution of 600 x 600 dpi seems too low to me. - Scanning: ADF again, we have become very accustomed to the convenience of ADF. - Connectivity: WLAN (Mac and Win, set up via Mac) - Wish would be low total costs. - Size: approx. same size (400 x 400 x 300 mm). Preferably smaller. The decision on the type of printer - laser or inkjet - has not yet been fully made. I am strongly leaning towards inkjet. Although a colour laser is a good option in terms of ink drying out/sticking. However, the installation site is in the office where someone sleeps (I snore very loudly). So far I've only found out that laser printers are not recommended. Or have they now got the fine dust and ozone problem under control with the filters? We had a higher print volume during Corona than today, so the printer was ideal back then: high resolution, duplex printing, duplex scan, high print speed and relatively short time to first printout, ADF, low cost per page as the ink bags had a long range. Basically, the requirements have remained the same, but we have a smaller print volume and the desire for a smaller device. Although with ADF it will probably be about the same size again. Does anyone have a recommendation? Does anyone have experience with ink tanks despite a small print volume?

Successor for the Canon Pixma 100s for fine art b/w prints wanted (private use)

Hello together I bought a secondhand Canon Pixma pro 100s years ago. I primarily make black and white prints on thick premium matt paper. The quality and consistency is good and the black is sensational. However, the printer also has various disadvantages for me: My favourite paper can only be printed on with large margins, it takes up a lot of space (I print A4 maximum) and I also don't know how long I can keep buying ink for it. Is there an A4 printer that fulfils the following requirements? - Print fine art prints - Prints that are UV resistant - Doesn't dry out if you don't use it for a month Thanks for your tips and experiences

    Printers/scanners for SMEs

Hello dear Community We're getting a bit desperate and would really appreciate your help. We are looking for a scanner/printer that has the following functions: - A3/A4 duplex scan and duplex print (any other format is welcome, e.g. for envelopes etc.) - Black/white and colour copies - ADF - Sort function/offset function for printing - Save to folder/mail (we use Google Mail/Workspace) - OCR during scan - Delete blank page during scan - LAN/Ethernet, W-Lan, USB, mobile (Android + iOS) - Windows compatible (we only use Windows operating system) We mainly need a good scanner as we receive a lot of documents (sometimes in folders) that we have to scan - and these are sometimes printed on both sides. On the other hand, we need a printer that can also print out plans or documentation on A3 for customers. We work very flexibly and don't have a land cable or Ethernet connection everywhere. That's why we need something that also works via Wi-Fi and/or Bluetooth. We have already been in contact with various suppliers who want to talk us into service contracts - but as a start-up, we are not interested in long-term service contracts as we don't know how we will work in the future. We would like to have a device that we can maintain ourselves and if that is not possible, we can simply request maintenance from a specialist. We don't like this contract-agreement mentality and would be very reluctant to jump on such an option. We were mainly offered RICOH and Sharp devices. However, these always seem to have a service contract behind them. Do you have any suggestions regarding multifunctional devices or recommendations for purchase? We would be very, very grateful!!! =)

    Delivery by Planzer

I spent the whole day waiting for the delivery from Planzer. Every half hour I consulted the consignment history and looked out of the window to see if another driver couldn't read the name tags on the front door, and therefore didn't ring the bell and simply left the new printer somewhere. Finally, at 8.18 p.m., the reassuring news: the parcel has been delivered. The only question is: to whom was it delivered? Congratulations to the thief or chauffeur who has now become the proud owner of a new Canon printer

Scanning with Epson et-2826 or et-2876 printer or similar

When I follow the "Scan" menu on the printer, I get the message: Communication error, check connection. The printer is connected via wifi. I can work with a scanner app, then it works. In the scanner app, I can enter in the settings in which file, e.g. My Scans, the scans should be saved. But isn't it possible to scan directly via the display with Epson? Is this only possible with a scanner app or what am I doing wrong? What else is this "Scan" menu for?

    Scan to network folder

I am looking for an inexpensive < 90CHF scanner or a combination device where I can simply place something on the scanner, then press a scan button and a jpg with my chosen default settings (A4, colour, 600dpi, low compression) will be stored on my NAS server. The network path should be preset once as the "default", I don't want to have to fiddle around with an app every time, or start the PC etc... Just put a piece of paper on it, press scan and later I can take care of all the images stored on the NAS. Does anyone have any recommendations/experience? Saving to a Nextcloud folder would also be a possible alternative, but I think if the "Scan-to-Networkshare" doesn't work, it probably won't work with a Nextcloud server. Many thanks for any recommendations.

An ink tank printer where you don't sell your soul to Sauron?

Is there an ink tank printer for home use that...? 1. continues to work without problems even if one of the ink tanks happens to be empty, 2. I can also fill it with ink from other no-brand manufacturers, 3. where the manufacturer doesn't deliberately waste as much ink as possible just to prevent the print head from drying out, 4. where you don't sell your own data to the vendor, 5. where the vendor doesn't keep rolling out unnecessary firmware updates to annoy you, 6. where the printer doesn't refuse to print when the ink sponge is soaked up with ink? The printer manufacturers have been behaving like Nazgûl for years, which as a descendant of Gondor I somehow don't like. I am also prepared to accept somewhat higher purchase costs. The functions are the usual ones for home offices: Mostly black-and-white printing, a photo now and then, like to be able to print on two sides. Scanning would be nice, but is not absolutely necessary.

Multifunction printer with automatic paper feed (ADF) and duplex SCAN function

Good day, I would be extremely grateful for a tip. Unfortunately, on Digitec you can't filter for the Duplex Scan function (automatic double-sided scanning) and the search function doesn't help either. The multifunction printer is to be used privately, in conjunction with a Mac, only black and white printing is required, preferably laser. So far I've only found: https://www.digitec.ch/de/s1/product/hp-m428fdw-laserjet-pro-laserled-schwarz-weiss-drucker-11819380 but the reviews say that the feeder is usually slanted and I'm also irritated that the other models in the M428 series don't mention duplex scanning. A higher price would be ok, but it is still supposed to be compact. Thank you!

    Home and home office printers

Hello dear community I am looking for a printer for my home. We previously had a Canon Pixma TS5350. The Wi-Fi function was terrible and we were just annoyed by it. The printer was constantly offline and wouldn't connect. To be honest, I'm totally tech-illiterate and would really appreciate some good tips. Are there any good devices for home use that can also print photos (on photo paper). Laser or ink? Thank you very much.

    Printer recommendation for tech-illiterate few-users

Hello to all helpful experts Looking for a printer/copier for my parents (senior age, not very tech savvy). Requirements: - Operable from iPhone (no PC, but WLAN available), as easy as possible to use. - Print/scan/copy mainly PDF, documents, music notes, rarely photos. - Use not too often per month (->laser printer?!). A colleague recommended HP M283fdw resp. M479fdw. I wanted to ask if there is a cheaper or better solution for my requirements? (Price-performance as good as possible) What would be your recommendations? Thanks a lot for the help!

    HP printer

Hello all, What can you recommend for an HP printer with 2 real paper trays? We would need this for business and would therefore absolutely need 2 trays (one for normal paper and one for invoice paper). I would tend towards HP as we have only had problems with many other brands. Price max. 500.-

Which larger multifunction inkjet printer supports 5 GHz 802.11a/ac/ax WLAN?

I don't understand why people have been preaching for probably 10 years that using the 5 GHz band would relieve the overcrowded 2.4 GHz band or provide better connections, but the printer manufacturers don't seem to have heard the bullet and usually only support 2.4 GHz. I am looking for a device with native support, without creative detours via all sorts of cables, routers, adapters, repeaters etc. Here at Digitec it only says WLAN yes/no, but it is almost always 2.4 GHz WLAN, unfortunately there is no filter for 5 GHz. When I have found something, it has been a simple printer, but not one with an ADF or a halfway large paper tray. All my relevant devices can use 5 GHz - except for the printer, which is why I have to keep 2.4 GHz running.

Brother Multifunction Printer with Macbook Air

Good morning Sorry for the beginner question: I am supposed to procure a Brother multifunction printer on a Macbook Air and put it into operation. Unfortunately, I know too little about Apple... What I know is that the Macbook has the software version 10.15.6. On the Brother website, the software for the printer is available from 10.15 onwards for Mac... Does this work on the Macbook? Or are there problems? Can anyone give me information? Thank you and best regards

Delivery times Epson XP-3100 Home (WLAN, ink cartridge, colour, duplex printing)

Dear Digitec Team Why am I being informed about the shipment of my printer as follows. "The deadline has been exceeded by the supplier. As soon as we receive an update from the supplier, it will be displayed here." but the product page talks about a postal dispatch of 4-6 days and this has been the case for a week?
