Briefly summarised in one answer:
Yes, the controller is compatible with the PS5 and can be paired and used with it.
However, it can only be used to play PS4 games that are installed on the PS5. PS5 games can NOT be played with it, for these only the DualSense controller is currently supported.
This also applies to most other third party controllers (at least until today).

Unfortunately not, this controller is not compatible with PS5. I have this controller would love to keep it!
