I have just been in my Golf Cabrio IV where I use these as rear speakers.
Here's what I can say about them:
I must have used them under bad conditions. The original loudspeaker brackets are open at the back, which means that there is no resonance body. The reason is the low installation depth and free space. I have now sealed the mountings somewhat with insulating mats, so that the speakers are at least not completely free in the air.
About the sound: Surprisingly, the speakers deliver a rich and pleasant sound under these conditions. However, in order to achieve a good bass, I had to raise the bass frequencies considerably on the car radio.
If the speakers are mounted under better conditions than in my case, this should increase the bass response and I could imagine that these speakers are sufficient for your purpose.
However, a bass miracle is not to be expected, the sound reproduction is rather balanced.
