With my new Pure Evoke H4, switching on in battery mode does not work. The radio always has to be connected to the mains first, then switched on, then unplugged from the radio and then it works. What am I doing wrong?

Good morning world ,,,
Should work in both ways, if not, then carry out a factory setting in the menu. if this does not help, then carry out a software update.... If that doesn't help, send the device in for a warranty repair,,, Pure devices have a 3-year warranty.... Unfortunately, in the event of various problems, the devices can no longer be repaired in the event of certain faults, as no spare parts are available and can only be disposed of after the warranty period. Unfortunately, this is the future, it shouldn't cost any more and should last forever... (This is a side effect of today's DAB + radio technology, based on digital technology, more possibilities, but faster to the electronic scrap heap, the old-proven FM technology does not have these problems by far, and needs even less power, but unfortunately you want to say goodbye to it! In the near future, millions of good FM receivers will be thrown on the scrap heap, perhaps some FM sets will reach a country where they can continue to play and transmit music for a long time to come. Unfortunately, no AI will help,

Hello Werner F230
So it should work in both operating modes.
For me it works in all modes, and the power cable can be plugged in and out as required.

--> The only pity is that the alarm clock does not work in battery mode, as there is no standby mode.

I have neither battery nor rechargeable battery in the compartment and therefore cannot give an answer.
