Will this external hard drive be recognised by an older (2012) Samsung TV and is it suitable for playing video files there?

We use the hard drive with a 6-year-old PC, and it works perfectly there. I don't know about TV, sorry, ph

I need it on a 2019 Sony TV and it works fine there. I would check the specifications of the TV, especially if the TV supports 2TB. If it does, then it should work.
