Why is it so expensive? I got the surface pro 7 with i5 (together with keyboard and pen!!) for 899.- If I add the pen&keyboard to this new ultra5 model this costs almost double the money. It's just not worth it. I can do 95% of the tasks on a Fr 350.- tablet. What is so good about it that it warrants the price?

Why is the Surface Pro 11 so expensive?

Main reasons:
New processor generation (Intel Core Ultra 5 236V with NPU)
- Optimised for AI applications (Copilot+, local AI models)
- More efficiency and battery life (up to 14-15 h realistic)

OLED display (for higher-priced models)
- Extremely sharp, high contrast, 120 Hz - technically at the top level
- (Your Pro 7 only has a standard IPS panel with 60 Hz)

Gen4-class PCIe SSD, LPDDR5x RAM
- Significantly faster memory connection than before

Fanless & super thin with high performance
- Ultra mobile premium design (lighter & thinner than many tablets)

Copilot+ features (from autumn)
- e.g. Recall, Live Captions, Studio Effects - all local, without cloud
- These functions require an NPU (the Pro 7 does not have one)
