Why do you write: can be connected to a tv? I ordered this device plus the tv Philips 22PFS5403/12 (22", Full HD, LCD) (7974367). However, the connection via USB does not work at all... Why?

Your TV model may not support this. Have you also inserted a DVD in the drive?
