A very small 3IP Torx -Plus screwdriver is required (I found one in this kit https://www.amazon.de/dp... you can also search at Galaxus). In addition to heat dissipation, I recommend the thermal pad https://www.galaxus.ch/de/s1/product/thermal-grizzly-minus-pad-8-1-mm-8-wm-k-waermeleitpad-5070335. This fits in place of the casing of the original SSD. The pad is mounted between the SSD and the outer flap!

I do not know that. I use the "Western Digital Black SN770M powered by SANDISK (1000 GB, M.2 2230)" with an adapter on the USB port to copy and transport very large files.
