what pablo says is true, but the only difference is that the O8G already comes with OC. But you can overclock the 8G on your own with the programme that comes with it.
I think the manufacturer puts the chips that have fewer defects under the microscope in the O8G and the lower quality chips in the 8G.
Unfortunately, certain chips and computer parts cannot be produced 100% free of defects, which is why the manufacturer then offers different quality levels at different prices (in this case from nvidia). asus then buys from them and uses different qualities in differently priced graphics cards in order to be able to offer a broader price range. of course, this does not happen in front of the end consumer.
I hope you know more now. I have an 8G and overclock it to the limit without any problems...the cooler that asus uses really helps. but maybe you should think about the length of the card, because it didn't fit in mine ;)
