What is the difference between version 3.0 and 4.0? I can only see that with the 4.0 you can also call up the ambient mode. But is that the only difference?

According to various sites, version 4.0 no longer has edge dimming (usually dimming lights 1x at the bottom and 1x at the top), but several local dimming zones distributed over the entire background. Especially in dark scenes and in a dimmed room, local dimming shows much less ugly background glow (e.g. in the black cinema bar). However, it does not come close to a rich black like OLED.
