What is the difference between this watch and a Gear S3, apart from the design and the better battery life? I've only seen that the processor is a bit faster.

Battery life should only be noticeably better with the large version. Otherwise - no joke - the only new features are an artificial ticking noise and ATM5 water resistance. If you have a Gear S3, I don't think the update is worth it. It's a pity, because Samsung had 2 years for this successor...

In case anyone else is interested: One difference is the operating system, the Galaxy Watch runs with Tizen OS 4.0, whether the Gear will get this update is questionable. Test reports say that it's not worth switching from the Gear 3 to the Watch. If you're buying a new smartwatch, it's better to buy the new one with a great battery and the latest OS.

You can see the differences here; www.digitec.ch/de/Comparison/9359534-5891405 but the focus was effectively on battery life and the processor.
