The toner unit contains toner (powder) which is used to produce text and graphics.
When the toner runs out or the print quality deteriorates, the toner unit must be replaced.

The imaging unit in a laser printer goes by many names and is one of the most important components when it comes to printing. It is often referred to as the printer drum, drum unit, OPC drum, imaging kit or photoconductor drum.

The imaging unit transfers the toner to the paper.
The laser printer applies the toner to a light-sensitive roller in the imaging unit, which is then transferred to the paper and fixed with pressure and heat.

To ensure high print quality, the quality of the imaging unit is automatically monitored. If the message "Replace imaging unit" appears, it must be replaced.
