Although it sets up a 2.4 GHz network, I would predict that the range through concrete/brick is very poor. Reason: Our Minergie EFH consists of wooden elements. Even here I had to buy a second base station for the total of 6 cameras to bring 3 cams in the east and 3 cams in the west close to the respective BS. Now, as the crow flies, it works very well at about 4 - 10 metres. Before mounting the respective camera, make sure to check the signal strength, even small shifts can worsen or improve the situation. I cannot yet judge the battery life in winter. In summer it was absolutely satisfactory.
