I first had the LG and then the MSI. I was bothered by the low black level of the LG (especially noticeable in dark games) and blacklight bleeding is much more of a problem there, let alone the IPS glow.
None of this is the case with the VA panel, so to speak.
On the other hand, you can see minimal smearing on bright white screen content. But not as pronounced as before...it's worlds better. It depends on the game whether you have it or not. For example, I didn't notice any smearing in resident Evil 2 with active HDR. Maybe I have also got used to it. It's just more a question of what you can live with in the two panel technologies.
