Question about Yamaha R-N303d

We use the stereo system mainly for sound reproduction from the TV. Therefore, the following question to an experienced Yamaha R-N303D owner: does the remote control button "Optical" switch on the receiver and set the input channel to Optical? Or does the receiver have to be switched on first and then (after a few seconds) the input channel selected? Thanks for an answer.

Hello, the unit cannot be switched on with the "Optical" button alone; it can only be switched on with the "Power" button. However, the reciver saves the last selected function, i.e. if music was last played via "Optical" and the reciver is switched on again, the "Optical" function is still selected and playback from the TV takes place directly via the reciver.
