We normally scan 8 mm film, but unfortunately it is purely a matter of chance whether the scanned film runs normally or jerks. What could be the reason for this? Switching back and forth between normal 8 and super 8 doesn't really help either. I bought the scanner here almost a fortnight ago and I'm not very happy with it at the moment....
Good evening, unfortunately for you, I don't have this problem. The only problem I have is that the film is blurred if it is not positioned correctly under the four lugs. I think a return under warranty is advisable.
Good evening,
I've never encountered this issue myself. Proper positioning in the tracking device is essential, but it’s usually straightforward. I recommend checking a couple of things:
Ensure the film tracking slots are in good condition.
Look for any signs of overheating spots caused by the original lamp projectors, as these can cause the film to go off track.
These two points are quite obvious, and I imagine you would have noticed them early on, perhaps even with your first reel. However, these were the only issues I’ve faced personally.
I hope you find a solution quickly!
