The technical spec here says that the monitor supports 8 bits, but the manufacturer's site says 10 bits. Which is correct?

The problem is both a little bit, because the 10bit is usually beefed up with an 8bit panel that has Frame Rate Control (FRC), so that at the end simulated 10bit comes out. And that is exactly the case with this panel, 10bit (8bit+FRC). As a rule, you don't notice that, but a real 10-bit panel costs more. It is still a very good device, because it also has a 4K UHD resolution.
