The only difference between the Z623 and Z625 is that the Z625 also has an optical input. Now I'm wondering if the sound quality is better with an optical instead of a chinch. Is the extra cost worth it? Otherwise, the speakers are identical.

Hello first of all. Optical is clearly better in terms of sound. I am not currently aware of the price difference. Depending on the application, where and for what purpose and what kind of device is connected, the investment is absolutely worth it.
