The Huawei Band 8 says that it has GPS. Is this really true? I have already seen some tests and reviews where it is stated that it does not have GPS and that you always need the smartphone for this.

The Huawei Band 8 doesn't have GPS. At least I don't think so. Outdoor runs are done without GPS tracking.
On the other hand, if you need a sports watch, I strongly recommend the GT line and even better the Pro. I have the Huawei Watch GT 2 Pro and it's excellent!
