The Arctis Pro WITHOUT GameDAC is stereo sound but the one with GameDAC is virtual surround? On other sites this headset is also described as stereo. What is Virtual Surround anyway? 7.1?

The headset can be used with or without the GameDAC (it has a jack plug adapter as an accessory), but basically you should use the GameDAC.
The virtual surround is completely optional, this function simulates a 7.1 surround system. However, everything sounds like you are sitting in a hall, unfortunately this is standard with all such headsets.

Is USB 2.0 enough to get the best quality out of the headset when I connect it to the PS4?
Or do I have to use the optical port anyway?
