The 175Hz is a marketing gag, with a DP 1.2 input at 1440p, right? Of course you can also use the monitor with 1080p up to 175Hz, but it is a 1440p monitor ;). And yes, according to the Asus website, it has HDMI 2.0.

One must always be extremely careful with advertising. Basically, you should always look at the specifications and the manual before buying.
As you can see here on the last page of the manual, 2560x1440@175Hz is specified, but only via Displayport:
https://dlcdnets.asus.com/pub...

In this case, the specs and the manual don't agree, as you can see on p.24 in the manual where it says to downgrade to DP 1.2 if DP 1.4 doesn't work.
The 175Hz is obviously an overclock function.
