Question about Xplora X5 Play eSIM

Sunrise is offering the Xplora X5 Play eSIM in its product catalogue with a special subscription offer. However, it is not stated whether it is possible to purchase an Xplora eSIM from a provider other than Sunrise and then register it in their network. In any case, I wouldn't recommend the Xplora because the GPS positioning on the map, the most useful feature (let's not fool ourselves), is particularly poor: either the cursor gets stuck, or it positions itself miles from the actual point (tested in a low-density urban area). So I bought a TCL from Digitec and asked Sunrise to convert the eSIM into a physical SIM. By being able to compare the GPS positioning and app functions of the 2 brands, TCL seems to me to be much more reliable and efficient.

In my case, I bought the Xplora from another shop, then had an eSIM activated at Sunrise without any problems. It's a good entry-level product, although my child is limited with the functions it offers (emoji instead of sms, approximate GPS function). He used it for a year (last year of primary school), and when he started secondary school, we bought him a Galaxy Watch5 Pro LTE, so that he could use WhatsApp and other GPS functions.
