With the Modification Frame, the colour filters can be magnetically attached to it.

I can't say whether the Nanlite Pavo is better suited for the application described, because I don't know it and I use the Lumecubes for supplementary lighting for photography. Maybe check YouTube reviews to see if anyone is using it for this purpose.
