Question about Sonos Five
Since I don't want 100 different audio devices, I'm considering converting everything to Sonos (not in the Sonos universe yet). However, for the office I would need PC speakers and I am aware that the FIVE has a 3.5mm input. But what about stereo, configuration, etc.? Let's say I put two speakers in the office and connect one of them with a 3.5mm audio cable. Can I then set up the two FIVE's so that I can use them as stereo speakers for the PC? What happens if I then switch on Spotify on my mobile phone, for example, with the office as the playback room? Has anyone had any experience with the Play:FIVE or the FIVE itself?

Enclosed I am sending you an article that touches on the subject (see below). According to my information, it is possible to connect the PC output to the line-in of the FIVE. From there you should be able to play the signal on all other SONOS speakers. It is likely that you will not have a "real" stereo pair, but you will have audio from the left and right.
As for what happens when you turn on Spotify with your phone, I'm not 100% sure. However, I assume that the PC playback will stop until you actively switch back to the line-in input (music plus PC sound at the same time is not possible). You could possibly get around this problem by running Spotify via the PC (Spotify Web). This way, Spotify can be controlled from the mobile phone, but the audio signal still comes from the PC and not from SONOS itself.
