Since I am upgrading my PS5 to the 2TB variant, I am looking for an external housing for the 1TB variant. Unfortunately, according to the community, the heatsink is hardly removable because the lower part is glued to the SSD. Does anyone know which enclosure that is also transportable can be used for this SSD? Thanks for tips.

I wanted to install the WD Black SND850X with heatsink in a Lenovo T490. The SN850x was about 2mm too high. So I installed it without the heatsink. But I think it's possible in an external case.

You can remove the heatsink but it's not straightforward so I recommend you already buy the version without heatsink
