Question: How can it be that DDR4 is soaring in price even though it is not affected by scarcity in the sense of being bought for AI slop? Or are we just being taken for a ride here and dispossessed so that nvidia can sell their GeForce now. For a monthly price, of course.

DDR4 prices are rising due to a combination of massive AI-driven demand for memory and the deliberate phase-out/production reduction of DDR4 to shift resources to DDR5.
