Possibly this coincides with johanolzon's question, however: Apple TV 4K >> This splitter >> Sonos Beam HDMI/SPDIF with adapter from Sonos & Beamer BenQ HDMI. Does this work? Am I losing quality somewhere? Thank you.

I'm using this splitter with the Apple TV 4K, with HDMI going into a BenQ beamer, and SPDIF (optical) into a Denon receiver. No issues whatsoever.
