Question about Garmin fenix 7

My Fenix 7 recorded/analysed my sleep very well for about a month. Now, however, it is suddenly finding it extremely difficult to recognise my sleep. Often it doesn't show any sleep at all in the morning and if it does, then usually with large gaps. My heart rate is measured, but often around 80BPM. During the day my heart rate is normal. I haven't changed the strap or the way I wear it. Does anyone know what could be wrong?

I actually have the same problem, but have had it since the beginning.
Either:
a) The technical capability of the device is limited
b) We have overlooked a setting or do not understand how the device works (e.g. when the alarm is set, the device stops recording)
c) We have a defect

With another Garmin device, switching off and restarting helped.

I had a similar problem. I tried tightening the wristband a notch and it now seems to give sensible results on sleep and overnight heart rate.
