Many other online shops have in the description that the MP3 player also supports FLAC. Is that correct?

According to the packaging and also the manufacturer's information on the homepage: MP3, WMA and AAC (both DRM-free), WAV, FLAC.

The manufacturer of the "SanDisk Clip Sport Plus" also specifies FLAC (16-bit) among the formats to be played:

Personally, I have not yet used such a format, but only MP3. But the FLAC format should also be playable.
