What do you mean by "Poly Voyager + charging station"? If you mean that a charging station would be useful, then I can clearly answer "yes". If you mean whether the charging station is good, then I can answer "yes". The only disadvantage of the charging station is that it requires a USB port. If this is available and the cradle as such has free access for placing the headset, then everything is great for using this headset.
Some applications, such as MS Teams or Zoom, support the function on the headset itself to switch the microphone on or off. The "Mumble" software does not support this function (this may be a configuration issue for this software).
The radius of action of the headset, i.e. how far I can move away from the transmitter of the headset, is certainly subject to the given structural conditions; in my case it is a prefabricated house and I can move the PC with the transmitter unit on the ground floor to the basement or the upper floor and I still have reception and can even switch the microphone on or off on the headset itself.
