So if you're listening to music at home alone, I would definitely go for open. I share an office with my husband, so we both have closed headphones for listening to ego music and gaming. If you have a specific taste in music, I would first find out what is best for e.g. classic or electronic. A friend of mine also has the DT770pro 32 Ohm closed headphones for the train to work. Price performance is certainly worth 5 stars.
