It is still not clear to me: what is the difference between the EU version of this lens (24 months bring-in warranty) and the 200 CHF cheaper 'normal' version, which according to the description even offers the better warranty (Canon Swiss warranty: 3 years premium warranty (1 year Euro and 2 years Swiss warranty))? So who buys the EU version for an identical product with a one-year shorter warranty?
According to my research, the "EU version" is excluded from "Swiss cash-back campaigns" and, as correctly mentioned, has a 24-month warranty. Technically, the two offers are identical, so it is the same product. Who such EU goods are for is different. It may be that the lens is urgently needed and there would be better availability or a better price at times for the EU product or CH product. So the demand is there for various reasons.
