Is it normal for the CPU to get 70-75°C under load? I actually have a good cooling system that reaches a maximum of 42-45°C during long periods of use. (NZXT kraken) but I find the temperature difference to the CPU a bit high, should I replace the thermal paste?

Ryzen 7000 in general runs very hot. The CPUs are designed to push to 95deg C under full load. AMD says they can run at that temp 24/7.

If you want to optimize your temps, you can change your PBO settings in your bios. Find AMD over clocking, go to precision boot overdrive, set to manual or advanced, go to the PBO curve optimized, set values to negative. You can then put in a number from 0-30 and this will change the voltage your CPU is getting from your motherboard. This will optimize temps and most of the time give you increased performance. You will have to enter a number and run benchmarks to make sure it is stable, however, so it could be time consuming. There are plenty of videos online that can help you with this too.

This is absolutely normal! This is due to the headspreader, which is over 1.5 mm thick for reasons of compatibility with AM5. In addition, both dies are in the bottom left corner (just google it). It is therefore important to apply a thin but very homogeneous layer of thermal paste in this corner. The Arctic Il 280 is perhaps slightly worse than the Kraken, but has the option of placing the cooling block almost in the centre of this corner. This may also be possible with the Kraken! "Der Bauer" offers a tool to securely head the Prozis. It runs much cooler and faster - but it's not worth it for me and too risky. Always remember that hot for skin is always relative to other materials. With the Asus x670E Plus, the temperature can also be limited to 65, 75 and 85 °C, which leads to a much more efficient operation at 3 - 5 % speed at full load on all cores!

When I have the computer scanned with the anti-virus software, I briefly reach 97 to 100 degrees without any negative effects so far.
