Is this TV LCD or LED? The manufacturer states LED https://www.samsung.com/ch/tvs/uhd-nu7170/UE55NU7170UXZG/

Both.
The LCD refers to the part of the screen that produces the image.
the LED refers to the back light behind the LCD panel.

So: Every LED panel is also an LCD panel.
