If the laptop has a free M.2 slot, you can use this SSD.
In order to use the full performance of the SSD, the M.2 slot should have PCIe 3.0 with 4 lanes.
If in doubt, please enquire directly with the device manufacturer.

I have installed it in a HP Pavillion laptop without any problems what so ever.

It should be, just you need to open whole laptop and install it in the m2 slot.
