Is the 1200+ compatible with the 650+?
Yes, devolo dLAN products of different speed classes are fully compatible with each other.
The only exceptions are old devices with 14 and 85 Mbps speeds. Unfortunately, these are not compatible with today's products.
For technical reasons, devices of the devolo Magic series are not compatible with dLAN devices.
In a network with mixed speed classes, each adapter connects to every other adapter at the highest possible speed (regardless of the other adapters in the network). For example, in a network consisting of one 500 Mbps adapter and two 1200 Mbps adapters, the 500 Mbps adapter connects at 500 Mbps to the 1200 Mbps adapters. At the same time, however, the 1200 MBit/s adapters connect to each other at the full 1200 MBit/s speed.
