Is it possible to use this hard disk with 256 MB buffer size together with one with only 128 MB (both same storage size) in a NAS?

Yes, you can do that. I also have 2x WD80EFAX and 2x WD80EFZX Raid 5 installed in a Synology DS918+ and it runs great.

Hello, yes it is possible but to have a good performance it is important to have the same technical specifications.
If it is possible to use on SPARE DISK, I suggest you to use one with the same BUFFER size and take the one with 128 MB as HotSpare. Greetings
