This is the "normal" studio version of the DT 770 Pro 250 Ohm. What you are looking for is the DT 770 M, which is the version that was made especially for live acts and also has a volume control in the headphone cable. As far as I know, this version is only available in the 80 Ohm version (if 250 Ohm is a requirement for you). This M version is also available for order on Digitec and if you hurry, you can still get the last one that is currently in stock ;)

Yes, this thing has no DB limitation. I think it's a great headphone at this price. I use it a lot with the Cambridge Audio xs dac, it's brilliant !!!!
