I'd like to know if it's possible to view a map on the watch like google maps or anything similar which gives you direction in case of a hiking, biking, running exercise

No, it‘s not possible. I bought the watch more for medical purposes, to measure the blood pressure.

I use the watch in conjunction with my iPhone and only for blood pressure. It's very suitable for that.
I don't need anything else.
