I woukd like to ask about the proper cable to work with the SyncMaster 305Tplus monitor at 2560x1600 4k @60 Hz. would this cable work ? or which other one you suggest ?

I found the answer to that: HDMI or DP to DVI Dual Link 2560x1600@60Hz is not possible with such cable.
there are two options:
1) get a Graphics card that has DVI Dual Link.
2) get this one Club 3D DisplayPort auf Dual Link DVI-D HDCP OFF (Digital -> Digital)
