I want to connect the Blu-ray player to my amplifier and listen to CDs. I have a cinch input on the amplifier, so one white and one red plug. Which cable do I need?

That's right, you would have to buy something like this in addition

This is not possible, the player only has an optical audio output. Audio can only be looped out of the HDMI signal via a deembedder, then the cinch cable works.
