Question about Delock HDMI Audio 5.1 Extractor

I stream picture/sound via Miracast dongle from the laptop to the TV. Can I use the Delock Extractor to operate the laptop (also via Miracast) as a pure music provider on the amplifier? I would have to connect the Miracast dongle to the Delock, its sound output to the amplifier and HDMI to the TV (which I would NOT have to turn on to listen to music).

I have a similar setup for separating audio and video signals. The sound quality via the HDMI output of the laptop, further via an HDMI switch and the extractor to the amplifier is orders of magnitude better than via the audio socket of the laptop directly to the amplifier. If I only want to listen to music, I simply don't switch on the beamer (instead of your TV). So this should be comparable, even if I don't use a Miracast dongle.

It extracts the audio channel quite well, but the Dolby Atmos signal is no longer transported on the other line. It is always sufficient for your purposes.
