Question about Canon RF 50mm f/1.8 STM

I see negative reviews because of the lack of MF. Is it not that you can switch between control ring and MF or do I not have MF here? Would like to use it as a cheap, fast astrophoto lens.

I also recommend a much wider lens for astro. For APS-C e.g. 16mm.

Hoi, yes, you can switch between control ring and MF. I don't know Astro, but why not with f1.8. 50mm might be a bit tight.
