I might like to use this power supply for a server, is this a good idea? I'm afraid the power supply will overheat with constant use 24 hours a day.

Hi, using the power supply unit in continuous operation is not a problem, that's what I do myself. It produces very little waste heat. If the housing is still ventilated, it's not a problem anyway. Go for it. That makes for a quiet server.
